VJDS has over 60 years of rich dance history that brings in generation after generation. With a wide offering of dance styles, our professional, well-educated staff teaches ballet, tap, jazz, acrobat, musical theatre and hip hop. We offer affordable tuition and a place for students to grow… and dance. Our dance season begins in September and ends in June. Additionally, we run outstanding summer programs and dance camps. The studio has three large dance rooms with Marley floors, lots of mirrors, a large waiting room for families to gather, and we’re an arm’s length away from all the great shops and restaurants of Downtown Miamisburg. Meet the Owner
Sierra Roe
Dancer, Choreographer, Owner
Sierra has over 30 year of dance experience. She grew up dancing at Vicki Jo Dance Studio from the age of three and started competing at age six. She has competed and won many regional and national competitions. Sierra conducted her dance studies in New York City immersed in technique workshops, Broadway auditions, and dance theory. After completing her studies, she started performing in musicals at La Comedia Theatre. She has played in productions such as West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, White Christmas and High School Musical. In 2010, Sierra started teaching dance back where it all started. Inspired by her previous theatre experiences, she started choreographing production numbers, which have won national awards to include platinum, first place overalls, choreography awards, entertainment awards Power Ranking Awards and National Championship awards. Sierra is certified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique. She is also a proud member of Dance Masters of America and a dedicated, passionate studio owner.
